Healing the Home With Essential Oils
Carbondale, CO
David Crow will teach the multiple benefits of essential oils and aromatic plants that are relevant to local families, such as using the oils in the home for protection against viral contagion and antibiotic resistant infections. In the garden, we will emphasize the aromatic plants that people can grow or harvest in our area, which can be used in whole form in baths, teas, and cooking. Well gather a small collection of some of those plants living in the area for demonstration purposes, and we will culminate the workshop by distilling one or two local plants into their essential oils. Specific remedies from the local aromatics, such as how to make essential oil throat sprays, anti-fungal applications, atmospheric purification for household mold will also be covered.

Flowers of Wisdom: Aromatic Meditations
City Yoga, Los Angeles
Flowers of Wisdom presents a series of powerful healing meditations
based on Tibetan, Ayurvedic, and Chinese medicine, combined with the
use of pure and potent essential oils. Through focused inward
contemplation we will study and examine the functioning of each major
organ system as described by traditional medicine, and use specific
fragrances to increase its vitality and immunity. By using spiritually
uplifting fragrances, we will practice deepening meditative states,
increasing and stabilizing concentration, and developing compassion.
During meditations we will use only highest-quality essential oils and
attars in numerous ways: direct inhalation, application to acupuncture
and marma points, atmospheric diffusing, compresses and poultices, and
burning on coals.
